Current Exhibits

"A Story of Petrified Wood" by Jerry Cone and Liam Unfer focuses on the natural beauty of petrified wood. The brightly colored specimens are cross-section cuts of petrified wood, showing the result of living trees which have turned completely into stone -- a process which historically takes from 65 to 250 million years. The exhibit runs through March 31.

"BocaRatoons: Editorial Cartoons by Ray Russotto for the Boca Raton News" will run from March 27 through May 10 and offers a hilarious collection of editorial cartoons dealing with topics local, national, and international, all flavored with that particularly "Boca" viewpoint. Cartoonist Russotto muses over the origins of South Florida weather, the demise of the International Museum of Cartoon Art, and battles over citrus canker, all in good spirit.

Exhibits are located on the first floor of the library and are free and open to the public, during regularly scheduled library hours.
