Central Search now available

Central Search is a new powerful search engine that allows users to search the FAU Libraries online catalog and research databases simultaneously. You may search a number of databases grouped together by subject, or select databases by title.

Search Tips:
  • Use quotes to force a phrase (e.g. "project management"). Central Search automatically adds an "and" between words if you do not use quotes.

  • When doing an author search, start with the author's last name first. However, try it both ways.

  • Use an asterisk for truncation (e.g. educat* finds educate, educating, education, educator, etc.).

  • Revise, sort, and filter your results. Click "Revise Search" to change your search or add additional search terms. Click "Sort Results By:" "Date", "Title", "Author" or "Source". Click in the "Full Text" box under "Filter by" to limit to full text sources only.
