Anyone is welcome to attend these library instruction workshops. Sign-up is recommended but not required. Workshops will last approximately 30 minutes. Not able to make it at these times / dates? Please feel free to ask for instruction on any of these topics on an individual basis. (Library instruction scheduled by faculty for their classes is not listed here.)
In addition to these scheduled workshops, we are open to suggestions for other workshop topics. We can also personalize class library instruction for faculty.

Style manuals, citations and avoiding plagiarism: Giving proper credit for the use of language and thoughts of other authors is the best way to avoid plagiarism. Learn some of the basic citation formats according to the style manuals used by various disciplines in this session.

Finding journal articles: Learn how to find and use journal databases to locate full-text articles. Learn the difference between scholarly and popular journals as well as about refereed journals. We'll also show you how to order articles using ILLiad.
